Swedish fashion house Acne, which stands for “Ambition to Create Novel Expressions”, is known for their unique denim collection. A hipster favorite, this brand does things their own way. Designs follow a relatively minimalist style however the red stitching on their jeans adds a little something different. Acne abstains from advertising in fashion magazines, but instead publishes their own “Acne Paper” twice each year.
In 2008, Alber Elbaz and his couture skills collaborated with Acne to produce a Lavin x Acne collection, available in stores now. The collection features denim minidresses, trenches, cuffed jeans and even sneakers. The casual vibe of Acne mixed with Lavin’s couture touch creates the perfect blend of downtown sophistication.
