Finger Prints

Designers like Marc Jacobs may have used nude shades to polish their models' nails, but recently we've been seeing eye catching trends like metallics, pop art graphics, and decals. Forget the fake nails and try Sally Hansen's nail stickers from your local drugstore. See what The Daily Manicure has to say about these nail decals as well as Sephora and Urban Outfitter's nail stickers.

Beauty in Bloom

What's in for beauty this Spring? Radiant and delicate skin, according to Peter Philips, Global Creative Director of Chanel Makeup. Les Perles de Chanel is bringing pearlized shades of pinks, corals, and peaches to keep your skin luscious and glowing. For night, create a smokey eye using deep shades of peacock green and polish in Black Pearl to give your nails an oil-black sheen.

The New Face of Lancome

Emma Watson had been dropping hints on her twitter account for a while about a new venture she was about to be part of. Last Monday Lancome officially announced that the 20-year-old was their newest “ambassadress,” which means Emma will be following the footsteps of nothing less than Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz, Kate Winslet and Anne Hathaway as she becomes the new face of Lancome. The announcement was made the same day Emma had her first photo shoot in Paris.

The president of Lancome, Youcef Nabi, told People Magazine that Emma has become an icon for her generation with her charm, romanticism and incredible modernity. From nerdy wizard to fashion icon, Emma has a very sophisticated personal style and we'll be seeing lots of her in the fashion world!

Accessories and Brights

From Milan's Fashion Week, Gucci used a bold pallet of fuchsia, teal, purple and green. Designer Frida Giannini described the look as “A contemporary female dandy.” With a taste of the 70’s, there was a lot of fur, bow ties, scarves, and fedoras. See the "Jackie" updated on The D. Planet.
